About The IMACE

Vision
The IMACE aims to improve patient outcomes, optimise the use of healthcare resources, and integrate new healthcare technologies in promoting Hong Kong as an international hub for health and medical innovation.
Mission
The IMACE shall:

Develop and disseminate recommendations tailored to Hong Kong’s local healthcare context through evidence-based and professionals-led deliberations.

Evaluate the efficacy and cost-effectiveness of medical treatment options, including drugs, medical devices, and healthcare technologies.

Establish quality indicators and benchmarks for healthcare providers and coordinate with the Government and professional agencies on the adoption of the same to improve transparency, accountability, and outcome.

Strengthen clinical governance, quality assurance, and public education to optimise resource utilisation and enhance awareness of healthcare efficacy.

Advise the Government on policies and measures to drive clinical excellence and facilitate health and medical innovation.
