IMACE Capacity Building Workshop

​

From 13 to 15 May 2026, the Institute for Medical Advancement and Clinical Excellence (IMACE) hosted a three-day Capacity Building Workshop, featuring Mr. Hugh McGuire, Senior Advisor, and Ms. Ann Greenwood, Advisor from the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE), United Kingdom, as guest speakers.

 

Building on earlier strategic exchanges with NICE, the workshop shifted its focus from high-level discussions to practical application. Participants explored how well-established international methodologies for clinical guideline development can be effectively adapted and applied within Hong Kong’s healthcare system.

 

The workshop included a series of interactive sessions covering the full spectrum from evidence-informed decision-making to implementation, surveillance, and resource considerations. The event brought together healthcare leaders, medical professionals, academics, and regulatory representatives, fostering cross-sector exchange and providing valuable insights to support evidence-based healthcare decision-making and enhance service quality in Hong Kong.
